  1. HOME

    After being in Austin, Texas for two weeks, I have to say I’m happy to be home. I will update about the trip since it was an institute for high school journalism teachers and was, for the most part, awesome. But for now, I’m happy sitting on the couch, listening to the new Curious Quail album (which makes my heart happy), petting my dog, and talking to the hubs. This is home. And I am happy.

    Oh, don’t forget - Curious Quail CD release show tonight! It’s free! And all ages! In downtown San Jose (San Pedro Square market)!

    And because the band members are friends, and my husband bangs on drums and bells.

    Also, if you like what you hear, the band is releasing a new album! At a show! That is FREE! And ALL AGES!

  6. I’d actually never this song without the camera clicks until just now on KSJS. The camera clicks are amazing and brilliant, but I love that this song is still stellar without them. 

    Mike Shirley-Donnelly, you are a fantastic songwriter. 

     
     

  7. One of the best feelings in the world?

    Getting off work, rushing to car, turning on KSJS, and hearing “The Glow” by Curious Quail!

    Also, they just rickrolled the listeners. Yeah. A live rickroll. Has that ever happened before? 

    Also, they sound amazing. Highlight of my day, which isn’t saying much today, but even on my birthday this would be the highlight of my day.
